Let’s talk about a major mineral we all need, magnesium.

Our bodies need it in higher amounts compared to other trace minerals, like zinc or iron. One of magnesium's most important jobs is to regulate muscle function throughout the body and that includes the heart muscle. In the body, it helps the heart maintain a healthy rhythm. It also helps regulate blood pressure and the production of cholesterol.

Magnesium can be the one thing that can save someone from an instantaneous deadly heart attack. In fact, it could be the answer for an out of control arrhythmia. ... Even diabetics are at risk of developing deadly complications due to a deficiency in magnesium.

Since this mineral is so important to the body it is very important to eat foods high in magnesium like leafy greens, almonds and avocados daily. You may benefit from a taking a magnesium supplement as well.
