Jesus says in John 13:34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.

So what does Jesus love do for us? His love cleanses us through forgiveness. It also sanctifies us, allowing us to grow into who we are created to be. His love endures forever.


Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her…so that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish. (Ephesians 5:25, 27)
